TUNBRIDGE WELLS

Our Tunbridge Wells factory, formerly known as Burslem, has been crafting stone for private clients and commercial projects in London and the South East since 1880.  It was founded by Thomas Burslem in 1853 and it has been trading in and around the Tunbridge Wells area ever since.

Originally tasked with the construction of many fine sandstone houses and churches around Kent and East Sussex of the Decimus Burton era, the focus has in recent times changed dramatically to interior stone work and to new architectural stone.

Our work ranges from bathrooms, flooring and kitchen surfaces through to exterior terraces and a new design service.

A recent move to our new showroom and workshop at Stubby Grove, Frant which was opened by HRH Duke of Kent, has ensured the company can stay local to its origins despite the need for a modern workshop and greater space for stock storage.

The Tunbridge Wells factory continues to focus on the core product base, embracing new technology together with a time honoured respect for the traditional craft of stonemasonry.
